Lace Malabrigo & Meeting
The Knotty Knitter meeting was fun. Darcy has pictures posted on her blog. Susan was working on magic loop two socks at once socks (that was a mouthful); Leesa was working on some fingerless mitts; Mel was working on an adorable hat; Mindy was working on a vest her husband Jaimie was working on a sweater; Jackie was working on a cute dress for her granddaughter; Darcy was working on her Clapotis as was I. Had a yummy croissant thing filled with chocolate, sooo good but didn't agree with me later on. I need to learn to stay away from things I'm allergic too! After the meeting came home and wound Darcy's lace malabrigo and enjoyed a nice cup of tea. Wonderful day! I'm now completely bushed!

Webkinz Extravaganza!
Went to Joanns to get some supplies for my hubby so he can make me some more of those cool shawl pins...want him to make me a palm tree one and a flamingo one! We then went Mother's Day shopping for my mama. Went to Bath and Bodyworks to try these cool flip flops on that give you a workout when you walk...they were really tight and hurt though so didn't get any. When I was leaving the lady said to try on different ones because some are stretchier...next time! Then we went to Red Robin for lunch....mmmmmm....I love their chicken teriaki burger...scrumptious! I know Dawn is now drooling! Had such a wonderful day! I even vacuumed and changed our bed before we even left. I can tell I'm getting my energy back..plus this juice I'm drinking Xangos is giving me an awesome boost! Gonna start swimming again next week...whoohoo!

Clapotis Progress...
Jimmy was doing a lot of bird watching this weekend! He took pictures of them and observed their behaviors...look how close they got to him. This is a mourning dove...we did a backyard bird count last year and we have approximately 40-50 doves a day! We even have two quail that come to our feeder! Plus sparrows, finches, blackbirds, and crows. Fun stuff! Our chipmunks wouldn't get close enough to get a picture...we've named them Alvin, Simon, Theodore, Chip, and Dale! One of them I rescued out of the dog's water last year and he's not as skittish as the others...he'll even look into our french doors!:)

Woolgirl Sock Club!
The kit came with a Woolgirl Sock Club bag, notecards, pen, matching stitch marker, pattern, and yarn. The pattern was designed by Lisa Dykstra and is entitled Reina which means Queen.
The colorway is based on Georgia O'Keefe's Petunia painting. Mama Llama Superwash wool...look at the beautiful violets and plum tones. So pretty!
"Nobody sees a flower, really, it is so small. We haven't time - and to see takes time, like to have a friend takes time." Georgia O'Keefe

My TN Buddy sent me a cute get well e-card too and bunches of well wishes. I just love all my friends soooooooo much.
Today I'm feeling much better...still wiped out but better and on the road to wellness. Once I'm better hubby and I will have to at least go out to dinner for our anniversary that we had to cancel all our plans.
Thanks to all my blog buddies who wished us a Happy Anniversary...they brought lots of smiles my way!

G'ma's Birthday & Meeting!
Met with the Knotty Knitter's last night at Starbucks ! Had a great time like always. Sweet, shy, Leesa was working on a beautiful prayer shawl for a lady at her work; Mel was working on a yummy, malabrigo shrug (although we were scaring the pooey out of her and taking it off the needles to see if it was going to fit her):); I was working on my ponchette; Darlin' Darcy was clapping along on her clapotis and being served free coffee; Dolores was there in spirit because Darcy wore a ladybug shirt, she was very much missed (although I didn't mess up on my knitting ); James was designing a lion for a sweater and his wife, Mindy was crocheting. We always have a great time. Its so nice to get together to chat, knit, and fellowship with each other. Everyone should have a great, caring group to get together with.
