Haven't used them yet because haven't felt well from all the dental work.

Still on the needles: Dream in Color Shrug and Peppermint Patty sock!

Might wind the Malabrigo I got the other day and start the cowl and scarf! Oh and I want to start crocheting that blanket that I bought the Vanna yarn for....we'll see!

Mail...Mesh...Movies...

In the mail I found this wonderful package from Chan yesterday! Six yoga dvd's, yoga bible, some yummy choc/mint yarn....Love, love, love it Chan....thank you sooooo much. I did do 40 minutes of it, was quite proud of myself until later when I started "feeling the yoga" so got a nice, hot bath to relax the muscles. Boy you should see some of the positions these people get into in this book...they must not have any bones in their bodies! I did go to Target today and got a yoga mat (pink with hot pink lace hearts) so I don't slip on the carpet and can get a good grip!

Made this the night before while waiting for Jimmy at swimming. It's crocheted and called a mesh cloth. I just love the color. Its Bernat Handicrafter cotton, which I tried to get more at JoAnn's but they don't have anymore...weird!

Jimmy and I went and saw Hotel for Dogs today......soooooooooooooooooooo good! It's definitely a buyer when it comes out on dvd! Jimmy giggled at me in the movies because of course I started crying at a certain point in it....very, very happy ending though. If you love dogs you have to see it, you'll love it! Plus Pedigree donates a portion of the ticket sales to shelters! Good cause, good movie! Then went to McD's to get a Happy Meal because they had the movie toys!

On the needles: Dream in Color Shrug...Peppermint Patty sock two...Valentine cloth and thinking about casting on for some yoga socks. Gotta get something back on the hook too and will probably start the blanket I'm wanting to make for the couch.

First FO's of the Year....

Crocheted Swirl Cap....been wanting to make a newsboy cap...really easy and fun!

Found the cute pewter heart buttons at JoAnn's the other day...perfect Valentine hat!

Easy Crochet Dishcloth...crocheted this yesterday while Jimmy was taking his math and history test. Needs to be a smidgen bigger though....next time!


Finally finished one of the Peppermint Patty socks....had to rip it out the first time because it wasn't long enough. I was/am worrying about having enough for the second sock but this weighed 40gms. and I have 75gms on the ball...I guess looks are deceiving. Every fourth stitch is a cable so this is taking quite a long time especially since its on size 1 needles!

Wolf Lace Rib Cloth

Since I've been knitting cloths I decided to make my own pattern...Wolf Lace Rib Cloth!

I used Bernat Handicrafter Cotton in Virgina Rose with size 7 needles.

Cast On 37 stitches or the pattern is in multiples of 4 + 1 if you want it smaller or larger.

Knit four rows.

Row 1 (right side): K4, K1, *YO, K2tog, P1, K1; rep from * to last four sts and K4.

Row 2: K4, P1, *YO, P2tog, K1, P1; rep from * to last four sts and K4.

Rep these two rows until desired length.

Knit four rows and bind off. Weave in ends.

Jimmy and I went Christmas shopping today and then went to Build-a-Bear!

We had such a great time....Jimmy cracked up when they made me jump up and down and do all the funny things at Build-a-Bear! We got a free book featuring these moose and a $10 gift card free! Whoopee! We had so much fun!

Look at this beautiful bookmark my friend, Julie, sent me the other day. I'm not the only one who has this Twilight obsession! :) It's sooo pretty, thanks a bunch Julie I love it! I'll think of you everyday when I read because of it! She has some family members who are not in the best of health, so please say some prayers for them.

Another FO!:) This is the Little Arrowheads cloth. Another great knit! I'm having so much fun doing all these different stitch patterns. Starting to slow down because my hands are cramping and moving up into my neck. My new perfume is Ben Gay! Poor Jimmy told me yesterday that I had a nice minty smell!:) Every time I put it on I think of that Kaiser commercial.."When I grow up I want to be an old woman..." The way my body is feeling the past week I feel "grown up!"

I'm a little behind the times but if you want to listen to a great podcast check out Alana's, its awesome! She has mentioned podcasts to me for years (my Dell doesn't do this) but never got around to listening. Well lately I've fallen into the podcast world. There's tons of them! So now at Jimmy's swimming I snag my hubby's Zune (where I've downloaded all these knitting podcasts, poor guy) and knit in the lifeguard station! Plus its warm in there...added bonus!:) If you have any podcast recommendations let me know!

Also crocheted some chemo hats for my friend to take to U.C. Davis on the twelfth...sending those off in the mail today.

Didn't go to Big Bear this weekend because I wasn't feeling well. Whenever I get my haircut and they lean me back in the bowl to wash my hair a couple days later I get such pains in my neck, couldn't even move my neck Saturday it was so stiff and unbearably sore. Does this happen to you ever? So Saturday I sat and knit and took a long nap.
Yesterday we went shopping for Jimmy...no store has the thing he's wanting in town....
I did make a double batch of Pumpkin Butterscotch cookies so I could have some and be able to send some to work with hubby on Treat Tuesday!

Cloth and Hats!

Finished the Lacy Mock Cable cloth! Fun, nice pattern!

Had another order for hats! Whoohoo! Cranked these out yesterday! Boy is my hand cramping! Did another two that are not pictured too!

Supposed to go to Big Bear tomorrow...Have a great weekend!

Another FO....waffle stitch cloth! Also finished two big Christmas presents this weekend...can't show pics!:) Worked on my Loppem cardigan...took 45 minutes on one row because there is so much errata for this pattern...ug! Worked on the waffle cloth at a knitting meeting I went to. Had an awesome time...about 14 people showed! It was at a pastry shop with lots of yummy goodies! Hubby got our Christmas lights up today...looks so pretty and peaceful. I took a picture of it but it looked like the house was on fire!:) Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Yesterday worked all day on a Christmas present....gave myself a pedicure...changed beds and had a pajama day! Had a nice, relaxing day! Have a great weekend!

Mystery Beret KAL

Finished my Butterfly Lace Cloth....love this color, and quite a fun pattern.

I have almost five inches on my Loppem. This has to be done with no tv or distractions because of the charting. Can't be tired either or all the little dots start blurring together and who knows what it'd look like then.

Also started a Mystery Beret Knit A Long with my buddy, Dawn. The designer posts pieces of the pattern in regular intervals until its done on a group board on Ravelry. Its a mystery until its finished! A fun, quick project! I'm using Dark Horse Yarn, Fantasy in a country blue with size 7 circular needles. I bought this yarn when our local yarn store was closing and so far its quite nice. Very soft and hopefully will show the pattern well. Gotta go knit on it so I can catch up to Dawn! Did vacuum, do laundry, teach school and iron today too...what fun! TTFN!
