Finished another WWII watch cap for CoggieTM's hat roundup to send to her husband's unit in Afghanistan. I'll mail these off when Neckio30 finishes hers! Lol, puttin' on the pressure Nicole! This is a really great pattern, perfect for tv knitting or knit meet knitting!:)

Sillyfru of the Sassypants Knitter Podcast sent in this cheery lapghan that she's been working on. She has been such a blessing in this contest by mentioning it on nine of her episodes! I get excited each time too, think I say every time "hey, knittinwolf, that's me!:)!! This has really meant a lot to me her doing this...then I open her package today with the blanket.....look what else was in it...this adorable Snowbunny figurine which is entitled "A basket of joy".....each week her podcast is my basket of joy so if you haven't listened to her, get over there and download all the episodes! This token from her of course brought happy tears and means so much to me! I haven't met a lot of my online friends but feel soooo close to them, such a treasure!
The next package held Andreia's pretty blanket....she also sent a little somethin' to me....these beautiful sock stitch markers. I'm so blessed to have such awesome friends!
Cat sent this fabulous blanket....love the pattern on it, and the colors are so springy. These packages are so fun to open and can't wait to see the joy all of these blankets bring to the nursing home residents!

Received these two beautiful lapghans yesterday from TN Dawn! They are so soft and cuddly! Its been really fun seeing all these blankets come....can't wait to hand them out!:) Dawn's mom has recently found out that her cancer has returned, please lift her up in your prayers! Praying they have found it early so they can treat it and she can be free of this dreaded, horrible disease!Had a 4.4 earthquake this morning at 4:04am....we didn't feel it but the dogs woke up and starting barking....
Knees are doing better as long as I'm not on them for too long.....have to remember to still rest and take it easy :(! On the agenda for today: school, swim, make boxes, knit....American Idol tonight! Also on the second season of Dexter....love this show!

Finished Object: Crocheted Rectangular Lapghan for my niece, Lila. Her birthday is Mar. 2 and made her this blanket to snuggle up with when she reads the books I'm sending her too! Such fun girly colors too...pinks her favorite color!:) She is so much fun to knit/crochet for, I'm always finding cute things to make for her. It's also awesome because she really loves what I make for her. Besides Jimmy she's my favorite person to make things for!:)

The simple gift of a hand-knit bear with a tag signed by the knitter has touched children with the message that they are unconditionally loved.

Finished my second lapghan! It's a lot darker than the pic so was hard working on at night. Love this crochet pattern. Hope you guys are all having a great time working on your lapghans for the contest...don't forget the deadline has been pushed to April 1 so no need to rush!:)Had a really busy weekend: changing beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, laundry/ironing...made blueberry muffins, cranberry orange muffins and lemon tea cookies.
Saw Inglorious Bastards....ug don't bother...I really dislike Quintin Taratinos movies. We are watching the series Tudors though which is awesome...still on the first season!
This week we're supposed to have rainstorms that are the worst we've had since 2004...started raining last night (yeah)!! Put up a rain gauge so we can see how much rain we actually get. I just love the overcast weather...love love love it!
Went to knit meet yesterday too...had about 22 people show up...seemed like a lot more in this coffee shop though. Boy did we get the looks from other customers! Had a wonderful time! I got to meet Courtsgram (Luann) whom I've only met online and playing Words With Friends! Such a lovely lady! Also got to hang out with my friend DawnRene who just got back from AK where her dad was really ill, so glad she made it back safely and that he is recovering. Limejuicy (Sarah) even came and knit with me for a bit too, hadn't got to hang out with her in awhile! So much chit chat going on with so many people it was a blast! I'm lucky to have such great friends in real life and online...truly blessed and am blessed by them each and every day!:)
