Got some new books in the mail. There's some really cute crochet patterns in the Happy Hooker...really want to make the crocheted cowboy hat. Finally got the Knit Two book too, there's been so many books I've been wanting to read that this has just been sitting in my wish list area of amazon. I'm still reading the Charlaine Harris books though so when I'm finished with those I'll start this one.
Did get the new Creative Knitting and Knit n' Style magazines yesterday. Nothing seems to pop out to me...I don't think I've ever made anything from the magazines I receive. I get so many patterns on Ravelry that I have a list of "to do's." Do you knit patterns from these magazines or other that you subscribe to? Let me know. I do love looking at them though!:)

Okay, so ...books....
Did you like Friday Night Knit Club? (think that was the title)?
Where are you in the Sookie books? Are you loving them?
I was really bitter at the end of Friday Night Knit... Let me know what you think of K2.
And yes, I've knitted MAYBE two things from the magazines I get. The butterfly stole was from a Knit 'n Style, and the vest I'm ignoring now is from Creative Knitting. There may have been others, but I know of those two...
I was about to say that Jimmy is looking pretty studious there. But then realized he is having fun with the comics:)
Love the yoga socks.
Hope your tooth feels better or that there is minor to no damage.
Let me know what you think of K2. I wasn't really impressed with the first one...
I know what you mean, I wasn't thrilled with anything in the mags I've gotten lately either, and I was thinking the same thing: I hardly EVER knit anything out of them but I just have to have them! LOL!
I am definitely going to try the Sookie books. As far as the magazines go, Creative Knitting has changed quite bit. I do not find that the patterns appeal to me that much anymore. I think their style has changed. I still like IK, and have a knit a couple of things I think form there. Knit Simple is pretty cute too. Nice articles.
I was definitely bummed by "Knit Two." I thought it just lacked focus in general. Her first book was a bit better. Definitely easy reading. Have you read any of Maggie Sefton's knitting mystery books? They are also easy reading, a bit hokey, but enjoyable.
The Happy Hooker has a lot of great patterns!
i wanna know how k2 was also! i have yet to finish the first one though. lol. you know. i haven't really knit anything out of the mags I've subscribed to either and that's why I'm going to be canceling some subscriptions!
How is Knit Two??? I loved FNKC. So I'm curious to see how she follows it up.
