This is an Alana Dakos pattern called Haltermelon. It is worked in one piece from the bottom up so no seaming!:) The yarn is Manos del Uruguay Cotton Stria which I disliked working with. It was a loosely spun single plied with a thread so it would get caught on the needle and need to be pulled after each stitch worked. I also didn't like how it made the stitches look uneven, blocking corrected this though! Would never ever buy this yarn.
Been reading a lot of Jimmy's Hardy Boys books and needed a change of pace so ordered a few books from Amazon...love my Amazon points! Also got Jimmy a video game; Red Dead Redemption...Reading the Maggie Sefton one right now, she's such a great author that you don't want to put it down!
On a sad note...my buddy, Courtney, decided to place her sweet Eva pup into a new home....please go give her some love on her blog. Such a painful choice to make and I know she'd love your virtual hugs!

OMG the Haltermelon is just too darn cute!
That haltermelon is adorable! I'm really into mysteries right now too, aside from the nearly 900 page intermission I've taken...
That is such a cute haltermelon! She is such a great designer!
Oh that's cute! I don't know why, when I first saw it I thought it was a purse! I've read the whole Elm Creek series, it's very good.
sorry to hear the cotton stria wasn't a joy to work with. it came out great though!
