Multnomah!!

Close up of feather and fan pattern...

Multnomah blocking.....
This was an experience blocking this....through the blanket down on the ground...soaked the shawl....went over to the blanket and thought "oh no I can't get down on my knees!"....scooched off a chair onto my hiney and blocked it as I scooched around on my butt...had all the cats and Fuji watching me and wondering what I was doing! Didn't even think about my knees being hurt until it was too late, duh, oh well I got it done. Can you hear my hubby saying "stubborn redhead!" :) Didn't get it done by the end of the Ravelympics(could of if I stopped when the pattern said) but wanted to use up the yarn and did more repeats than it called for. Love the colors of greens in this Bee Mice Elf yarn!

Ravelympics Update!!

Progress on my Multnomah shawl.....this has been frogged twice now....I have a million stitch markers now marking every feather and fan repeat....there's no way this is getting messed up again!:) This is lovely yarn by Bee Mice Elf....merino/cashmere yummy blend! Plus it's in my favorite colors...greens!
Jimmy and I started the YMCA yesterday. I swam 32 laps yesterday and 36 laps today. Feels so good to be back in the water. I'm soooooo sore though. I didn't feel sore until I pulled myself out of the pool and felt all jello-ee, now it's just sore! The lifeguard came up to me today though and asked if I'd like to join there Masters program...I so wanted to laugh because there is no way I could keep up with the Masters!:) Everyone there has been really friendly though. The guy at the entrance startled me today by saying I couldn't bring my bag in...I looked at him odd and said "huh, why?"....he laughed and said it was because it was a Jeff Gordon bag! Ug, here I thought I'd done something wrong, ha ha he's a Tony Stewert fan, yuck!!:)
Off to finish school up with Jimmy and laundry...then dinner...then KNIT!!!!!

Ravelympics!!

Ravelympics starts tonight at 7:30p.m. when they light the Olympic Torch!!

Mass Cast-On at 6 pm Pacific Standard Time February 12, as the Opening Ceremonies begin in Vancouver! Find out what time that is in your local zone here. No casting-on before this moment! (with the exception of WIP/UFO event entries)
Ending time: 11;59:59 PST February 28; the closing ceremonies will be earlier that evening, but since the exact moment of torch extinguishment is unknown, we’ll give you until midnight. Each Ravelympics project must be marked Finished on the project page prior to the ending time in order to qualify for a medal.
What is Finished? Does it mean blocked? Ends woven in? Sewn together? Photographed? That’s up to you. See the big rule at the top: Challenge YOURSELF. Do you feel it’s finished without the ends woven in, or before blocking? Then mark it finished. If not, don’t. Be honest with yourself, and we’ll celebrate with you.
The Finish Line: Each event will have its own FINISH LINE thread on the Ravelympics 2010 board. Post details of your finished object in the thread(s) for the event(s) in which it is competing. (Details of what to post – link to project page and picture, for example – will be listed in the thread.) The FINISH LINE threads will be open for a day or two after the closing ceremonies, so if you can’t get a pic and post by the official closing time, just cross as soon as you can.
Medalling:
BobicusMaximus will hand out medals (blog badges) to each finisher in the event threads.
You’ll be able to follow your team and event progress on the special Ravelympics stats page that Casey’s magic machine assembles out of all properly tagged projects. Chat and cheer in special threads for each team and
event!

I’m doing:
Charity Curling - lapghan
Scarf Super-G and WIPS dancing -drop stitch scarf that's been marinating in my purse forever...

Tomorrow morning my Barknknit buddies and I are doing a virtual baby shower for our friend in Canada, danceNknit! We're going to use Skype and watch her open the presents we've sent her. Should be lots of fun!
