Fall Creek Fibers Polwarth in the colorway Veronica...4 oz.
13 wpi; 2 ply...114 yds.
After it was plied I soaked it...my sink filled with dark brown...emptied and refilled sink and it filled with dark brown color again. Have no idea what to knit with it because its going to bleed color...not a happy camper!

Honestly have no idea what kind of fiber this is besides some kind of wool. Bought it in Solvang, CA. when I got my wheel.
Worsted weight 112 yds. to make James a hat.
Spinning some FreckleFaceFiber Bombyx/Merino in the colorway Marigold.
Spinning it lace weight and will probably be for sale in the shop soon.

Bee Mice Elf Polwarth in the colorway Peanut Butter! So soft and squishy!

Weekend Fun...

Finished spinning the singles of some Freckle Face Fibers.
Colorwary: Enchanted Hollow
Merino/Tussah 4oz. = 451 yards
Friday, Pudmuddles (Melissa) came over and I got to see her beautiful little girls. Trouble loved visiting with them! Afterwards they went halloween costume shopping, her oldest is going to be a Vamp, Middle is going to be Spidergirl, and the youngest is going to be a bumble bee! She twittered the pics of them and they are just too cute! Love seeing what people choose to be!
Saturday some friends (neckio30, courtsgram, riverrouge, desertflower) came over to knit and hang out. Had a very nice and relaxing time with them. Also had some yummy snickerdoodles, mmmmm!
Sunday a bunch of us gals had a virtual knit meet. We had so much fun! Thanks for the laughs gals!!! (cuteknitter, barknknit, itsjustmeghan, knittingrn, kdb, Kristen, roue0824, coggietm, sydneyknits, pinktiburon, toadyjoe) Feel like I'm forgetting someone? Fun to see all your projects too!
Monday, today, going to hang out with my guys since they have the day off. Happy Columbus Day!:) Think I hear my spinning wheel calling me!

R,S, T...

R is for roving that is now spun into a single! Fabulous FreckleFaceFibers in the colorway Cherry Season.....this will eventually be turned into an Ishbel shawl! Need to get it off the bobbin, soaked, whacked and dried! Fun stuff...what to spin next?

S is for skirt that I just finished sewing! I love this pattern and they are so comfortable, love, love, love them! Many more to come! I'm also loving my machine and wish I had more time to do it. My buddy, Luanne's coming over Wednesday and going to teach me how to make pj pants! We always have such a great time together!

T is for tomatoes that came from my Dad's garden. Just had a turkey sandwich and added some tomato to it....yummmmmmeeeee! If you've never tried a fresh garden tomato, find one, the taste is totally different than what you'll ever find in the store. I really don't like tomatoes but these are fabulous. It was so good I grabbed the rest of it and ate it like an apple! Thinking on cutting some up for a salad cuz I'm just craving it now!:)
Had a great swim at the Y today and now need to knit on another Alana knit!:)

Wednesday Ramblings...

"Talk to the hand"
Went to Valencia today to Jimmy's dental appointment....no cavities! Whoohoo!
We then drove towards home (45 minutes from us) and went to Panera for lunch (yummy fuji apple salad)...went to Petsmart to get superworms for our bearded dragon...Kohl's to get James some more slacks...and a couple other places looking for Mommy's Day stuff. Busy, busy day! Off to knit night tonight...I'll probably fall asleep!

FreckleFaceFibers
50% alpaca, 30% merino, 20 % silk
Seems like I've had this on the wheel forever...since October I know of! Wow, but now it's done! It is 446 yards of fingering/lace weight; 2 plied. When I finished plying it I wound it off onto the chair, well I wound really good and couldn't get it off the chair, poop it took me 1.5 hours just to get it on the chair!! Had to wind it onto my swift from the chair (2 hours) so I could collapse the swift to get it off. Then I went to Soak it, supposed to soak for 15 minutes...completely forgot about it till the next day! I have know idea where my head was with this!
When I first started spinning it I had a project in mind for it but since its been so long I have no idea what that project was now!:) I know a shawl but can't remember which one! Really like how it turned out...now to spin something else! Was extremely excited to hear that TN Dawn is starting to cross over to the dark side of spinning! So cool to hear about her progress! Soon we'll be hearing her buying a wheel!:) She has a friend letting her test drive one right now!:)

Jimmy's Mitts!

The Sand dollar roving above (brown/cream/blue) became...

this two ply yarn I spun up for....

Jimmy's fingerless mitts! This is the first time I've actually knit with the yarn I spun! It was so much fun! It was so funny how it ended up striping....don't really know how I managed that but it's cool! It's superwash too so I'll be able to wash them!:)

Hope everyone is having a safe, wonderful labor day weekend!

Today is also our kitty's birthday...Happy Birthday Trouble!

It's also my parent's 40th wedding anniversary...whoohooo, wow 40 years! Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad! Hope you have many more wonderful years together! Love you!

FO: Landscape Shawl

Finished my Landscape shawl....it's so soft and cuddly!
Now I need to finish the monkey socks that have been marinating and the drop stitch scarf. Casted on the Mr. Greenjeans sweater too....I keep wanting to cast on for things!:)

This is the handspun yarn that I made for Dawn for her birthday. I snagged the pic from her blog because I forgot to take a picture of it when I finished because I was in such a hurry to get it to her! Can't wait to see what she makes out of it!

FO and Case....

A spinning FO (finished object)...this was from the alpaca roving I got from Silver Sun Alpaca Ranch when we visited it. It is called under the sea because of the blues and greens. Very pretty, haven't added up the yardage from it yet because I was talking on the phone when I was winding it off my wheel. Seems like a lot though and I double plied it too. Did find lots of bumpy, chunks in it while I was spinning it, don't know if this is from being drum carded or what, but didn't like that in it.

Ordered this cool cell phone case for my phone so I can tell my phone from James'! The pink hearts match my purse too!:) Am so in love with this phone, it's so much fun. Am highly loving the text messaging stuff! Even downloaded a cute app that has little emoticons for texting with...even my cousin went and downloaded it today too! Having so much fun with it! Jimmy has put a lot of games on it for him to play. What are some of your favorite apps????? I have: Todo list; facebook; twitterfon; amazon.com; google; pandora; stitchminder; Bible; Lose it; knitminder lite; hangman; scramble; word warp; words liteu; ipet dogs; iEmoji; eztipcalc; shipping list lite; whiteboard; zippo lighter; 400sounds; aggravation; and lightsaber....then a page of Jimmy games!!!
