R,S, T...
R is for roving that is now spun into a single! Fabulous FreckleFaceFibers in the colorway Cherry Season.....this will eventually be turned into an Ishbel shawl! Need to get it off the bobbin, soaked, whacked and dried! Fun stuff...what to spin next?
S is for skirt that I just finished sewing! I love this pattern and they are so comfortable, love, love, love them! Many more to come! I'm also loving my machine and wish I had more time to do it. My buddy, Luanne's coming over Wednesday and going to teach me how to make pj pants! We always have such a great time together!
T is for tomatoes that came from my Dad's garden. Just had a turkey sandwich and added some tomato to it....yummmmmmeeeee! If you've never tried a fresh garden tomato, find one, the taste is totally different than what you'll ever find in the store. I really don't like tomatoes but these are fabulous. It was so good I grabbed the rest of it and ate it like an apple! Thinking on cutting some up for a salad cuz I'm just craving it now!:)Had a great swim at the Y today and now need to knit on another Alana knit!:)

Here are my answers...
1- What’s your staple meal (ie. what meal do you cook most often when you can’t be bothered to be adventurous) ? Anything with chicken: beer butt chicken/chicken & rice/teriyaki chicken burger (having those tonight)....James is the chef in the family! He's an awesome cook!
2- What do you want to be when you grow up? "When I grow up I wanna be an old woman..."; gotta love the Kaiser commercial....seriously though I am what I want to be, a mom/wife; the best, most rewarding thing ever! Maybe will resume my therapy practice one day because I love doing that too!
3- What book are you reading at the moment (if any)....I'm reading all the Hardy Boys books Jimmy has read and just started reading Eclipse again in preparation for the movie next week. Also reading a lot of knitting technique books for the tkga program.
4- How do you relax? Relax, what's that? I spin/knit/crochet/read/bubble baths...super stressed I unload onto James!:) Poor guy I'm always bending his ears!

Tutti Fruiti Tuesday

Lots and lots of peaches on the peach trees!
Nectarines....
I know James will know this by looking at it...can't remember if this is the cherry on the cherry tree or if its the granny smith apple tree....I thought I'd forgotten to take pictures of the apple trees...ooooh have lots of strawberries too but forgot to take pics of that too....no fruit yet on the blackberry bushes and nothing on the grapevines yet....Just excited that we're going to have fruit this year! As long as the squirrels, chipmunks and birds leave it alone!:)

What is it??
Last year in this tree there were just the straight, spiky leaves...
This year they have these buds on them and opened up into these flowers...
I looked at all different kinds of flowers, thought it was an iris but I actually planted iris bulbs and this is what they look like...

Works in Progress....
On the hook I'm working on a cowgirl hat out of the Happy Hooker book. Also have the mystery shawl crochet along on a hook but haven't worked on it at all. On the needles I have a monkey sock out of the beach ball colorway from a Woolgirl club shipment. I keep this in my purse so it doesn't get much done on it.

Spring is Coming!

Since daffodils are Jen's favorite flower...these are for you!:)
Did a little spinning yesterday...trying for a worsted weight consistency with some alpaca. Doing pretty good (I think) it looks like yarn anyways!:) This is so fun! Next week when we go up North to celebrate James' birthday I want to stop at this spinning store and try out some wheels. Hmmm, wouldn't James just love a spinning wheel for his birthday! ha ha j/k honey!:) Hope everyone is having a great hump day Wednesday! Take care and keep on knittin', spinnin', and cro'ing!:)
