Welcome Randy!!
Today we went to Brea, CA to pick up our Vietnamese Potbelly pig, Randy. We named him from the movie The Christmas Story where the mom in the movie asks the little boy (Randy) "how do little piggies eat?" He was such a good boy on the two hour drive...snuggled in the crook of my arm!
Fuji was instantly enamored with him...tail wagging and excited to see what he was...never bristled or barked....she got excited wanting him to play but he's a little wary of his surroundings. He doesn't like me out of his sight...when I went to the kitchen he came running down the hallway to find me, boy can he run! We then went and had a snuggle time in his room!
When we got home he was really hungry so James gave him some chow!Put a few pieces of food in his kong toy and he's having a blast as I whip out this blog post! He already has me wrapped around his little hooves! Think James will notice the extra fur baby in bed, lol!:)
Nichole, Stu, Nick, and Aaron also came to see the new arrival! :)
More pics later...gotta go play with my new baby!

We had such a good time. We laughed so hard that are sides were hurting! Poor Fuji was recorded "playing" with her froggy...whole new meaning for "frogging!" Nicole even posted it to twitter! Centrique Shawl!
It was made on US 6 circulars and the yarn is Plymouth Yarn Sockin' Sox.
It reminded me of peacock feathers when it was all laid out and blocking!
Last week CoggieTM of The High Fiber Diet Podcast mentioned it on her episode!:)
I enjoyed this pattern so much I'm making another...this one is out of FreckleFaceFibers Tehachapi in the Fall colorway! This was the colorway she designed for last years Cogknitive Retreat! Wanted to make something out of it so I can wear it to this years retreat!:)

Phat Tuesday!!!
Wear your beads proudly!:)
Finished Object: Crocheted Rectangular Lapghan for my niece, Lila. Her birthday is Mar. 2 and made her this blanket to snuggle up with when she reads the books I'm sending her too! Such fun girly colors too...pinks her favorite color!:) She is so much fun to knit/crochet for, I'm always finding cute things to make for her. It's also awesome because she really loves what I make for her. Besides Jimmy she's my favorite person to make things for!:)
Another fabulous lapghan for the charity contest! This one was crocheted by Jo (bellatrix). It is a crocheted entrelac pattern, very beautiful.I took three blankets with me to the nursing home yesterday to see what kind of response I was going to get from the staff. On Ravelry I went into the whole fiasco with social workers....No one said a word to me yesterday. I gave my Grandma the one I made for her (she wrapped it around herself like a shawl...hey they have a duel use)....gave the deaf lady a bright red one which she loved and had to show me that it matched her decorative pillow :).....then I gave another lady one which was DawnRene's....the lady teared up and said "it was the most beautiful thing she'd ever had...perfect size...so much work...loved the colors...then told me she used to knit socks for the soldiers in the war!" I got lots of hugs and kisses! Such a joy to see them enjoy them! They had to keep comparing their blankets saying "mines prettier than yours" so funny! Think I will continue to pass them out this way...a few at a time to those I see alone a lot. My Grandma is even wanting some of the lapghan patterns to help make them for the nursing home! Think she's getting her crochet mojo back!:)
