Water for Elephants Trailer 2011 HD

Just finished the book Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen last night. It was such a fabulous book! My friend, Amanda, showed me the trailer that its going to be a movie, how awesome!! Starring Robert Pattinson (whoohoo) and Reese Witherspoon in theatres April 15th!

Sunshine February Lady Sweater...coming along nicely. Very fun knit!

Started working on my Happy Scrappy Sock Blanket....love working on this...one square a night!
Cleaning out garage; going through boxes that we stuck in there when we moved here...loading up trailer for a trip to the dump; separating stuff to donate; and taking pics of things to put on Craigslist. Some of the stuff has been real emotional to go through....very exhausted! Hope ya'll are having a great Presidents Day!

Tiger World Fundraiser!

My friend, Nichole (pic above with Diego), is having a contest/fundraiser for Tiger World.

Nichole is a huge supporter of this wonderful non-profit organization. It breaks my heart to report that Diego and Dora passed away due to a strain of parvo, hence the vet bills are huge....this fundraiser is to help them recover and to help them with other gorgeous animals they have. You can read more about this on Nichole's blog but wanted to help her get the word out to help. She has a lot of wonderful prizes on her blog that have been donated too.

Wren Shawl

Finished the Wren Shawl for the Yarning's KAL! Awesome pattern...was really scared towards the end of running out of yarn...was weighing it every couple of rows! At least it decreases as you're getting near the end!

Him and Fuji got to take a trip to the vet yesterday to get their vaccinations...guess who screamed the loudest...yes, Sir Randy, poor baby. Both were tuckered out by the time we got home. Hope you all had a great Valentines...I was extremely lucky and had my Valentine home all day with me!:)

Fiber Friday!

Fall Creek Fibers Polwarth in the colorway Veronica...4 oz.

13 wpi; 2 ply...114 yds.

After it was plied I soaked it...my sink filled with dark brown...emptied and refilled sink and it filled with dark brown color again. Have no idea what to knit with it because its going to bleed color...not a happy camper!

Honestly have no idea what kind of fiber this is besides some kind of wool. Bought it in Solvang, CA. when I got my wheel.

Worsted weight 112 yds. to make James a hat.

Found these adorable stitch markers on etsy in the shop Wee Ones. Little black pig markers....usually they are only in pink....love, love, love them! They are really hard to take a photo of cuz they are sooo small...tons of detail on them, will be ordering from her again! She also has sock monkey ones that are calling for me to buy them! Its hard to find good stitch markers...the ones I'm using on my February Lady sweater need to be thrown away...they are catching on the yarn horribly...will be switching them out for these!

Outside fun...

Randy gets so excited to go outside, you should hear the snort, snort, snort as he runs to the door! He knows that there are a few treats out there for him to root around and find. He also loves to push his toys around with his nose all over and if one of them squeaks he runs in a circle!:) He's so funny and entertaining! Last night he was being a booger because I was gone for a few hours with more dental work....he ran into Jimmy's room and found a bag of toys, no longer took that from him and gave him a replacement toy that he ran back in there to find something else he could get into! Then he decided to bug Trouble until Trouble slapped him..so then he thought he'd try chewing on my shoe....time out time in his room. Later when let him back out he was his snuggly, lovey self!

Love finding a good TV series on Netflix...right now I'm addicted to Veronica Mars; just love this show! Missed Cake Boss last night, boo hoo cuz went to bed early. Have a great day!

Started the February Lady Sweater yesterday for the KAL with the Knitwits podcast...almost finished with the Mr. Greenjeans sweater....want to cast on the Wren shawl for @kdlb's KAL.

Had my rings sized so I can wear them again...2.5 sizes down!! Love when they get all shined up by the jeweler; can never get them that shiny by cleaning them at home. Think I'm getting James' crud he had last week so gonna go sit and knit a bit!:)
