25th Anniversary!/ Birthday!

Today is my Aunt & Uncles 25th Anniversary! Congratulations and blessings for many more to come!

It's also Harry Potter's birthday! Whoohoo! Have to re-read the whole set to celebrate and watch all the movies again. Harry Potter marathon!

Ran all over yesterday doing paperwork to get the truck. Got the truck and then had to do more paperwork for insurance and such. I still haven't got to drive it yet. Did go out to lunch and I kept smelling my best friend Andrea at the restaurant...the waitress had on (a lot, bathed in it) the perfume she always wore...of course this really got to me bad. I'd like to really have a good cry but...It's just not fair she had to die, so hard to deal with. Had to rush off to the swim team board meeting...should of stayed home except I'm the secretary. What a fiasco that was! As soon as I walked into the pool building it was one thing after another...poop! Yes, taming the tongue! Don't even want to think of it...probably will wait a couple of days before I type the minutes up because I just don't want to deal with it.

Today is supposed to be private swim training and swim team practice but I'm so exhausted I don't want to do any of it. Plus my tooth is throbbing so bad I think it needs a root canal. Don't want to go back to the dentist I had because he hurts to much so would have to find a new one and transfer files...pain in the butt! Yeah, I know pain in the tooth! Did knit a few rows this morning and am now going to go water my plants. Tootles!

Finished!

I finished the Harry Potter book yesterday! Oh my gosh, I think it was the best one yet. My favorite part was the end....so dying to talk to someone who has read it but don't want to ruin it for those who haven't...like my hubby. I did have to tell him it was a happy ending....I had to say something:) He's still on book five! How can I keep quiet? When they make it into a movie its going to be sooooo awesome!

Yeah, we pick the truck up today! I can't wait to drive it. Want to practice in the rural areas and not in town until I'm used to the size. I feel sorry for the curbs we will meet...jk! Its 45 minutes away so hubby and I are going to go out to lunch too...there's a yarn store not to far away...hmmmm. Got to get back to insure it and stuff. Plus Jimmy has swimming and I have a board meeting. I was going to join the masters swim team but my throat is still burning a little and stuffy nose, I should probably wait. (Still dreading the swim suit in front of stranger thing):)

So busy yesterday. I vacuumed the house...did laundry, ironed for an hour and a half...cleaned all three bathrooms...it sure seemed a lot more when I was doing all that and it barely took up a line! Oh, I also vacuumed the pool and then did laps for 40 minutes. I knew there was something else that took a long time! Gonna go knit for 15 minutes before I have to get busy!

Race Day!

Nascar race day! Go Gordon! Go Newman! Go Jr.! Whoohooo!

Going to do my ironing while I watch the race and swim team secretarial duties! Maybe even sneak a little knittin' time in too. Here I've been working on the same sock for over two weeks and Jen in Fl. has cranked out a wagonful! I've also been working on my mosaic Pooh puzzle which is sooo addicting...I keep telling myself I'll do this or that after I find one more piece! Hmmm. I'm also done with the Harry Potter book but yet I don't know if I want to find out the ending....I don't want it to end...whahhh! Yes, that's a whine!

New Truck!

Whoohoo, we just bought a new 4x4 truck! Really clean, nice and in excellent condition. Sits really high so I'll be able to see a lot. Can't wait to drive it around!

Swim Meet!

Oh my gosh, I'm sooooo tired! Our swim team did soooo awesome today! The swimmers did excellent and the parents were such a big help! It was very disorganized, chaotic, and hectic but we pulled it off and everyone enjoyed it. Go Team!

Going to get off my feet and take a siesta in the nice air conditioned room! Thank God for my crocs, my feet would be killing me if I hadn't of worn them today. Might be going to look at a new truck later, we'll see. Tootleloo and nighty night!

Oh Yeah, It's Friday!

First off its my swim buddies birthday today...Happy Birthday Cindy! She was just made a grandma on Sunday night, a beautiful baby boy! Something extra to celebrate today!

My friend Darcy will hopefully be getting out of the hospital tomorrow too. Coach Falicia is healing nicely from her surgery performed on Tuesday. Lots of good news!

I'm feeling better today. I guess rest does work! I worked on my mosaic Pooh puzzle a lot, read a little Harry (no not done yet), and took a nap. Still a little congested but didn't wake up with my throat on fire! Have to be better by tomorrow because of the swim meet I need to run.

Found out yesterday that I'm a Wiener, oops I mean Winner! On my friend, Jen's, site I was the 500th comment. Not surprising by how much I talk! ha ha How she knows this I have no idea? Pretty cool though! She can whip out socks like nobodies business! She's posting a new one every couple of days its amazing! There not just plain socks either, they're beautiful works of art! So cool. I've been weeks on one! I now proclaim her the "Sock Queen!"

Since I didn't do much yesterday my laundry is overflowing, ironing board is yelling at me so gotta get busy.

Sick!

Hi All! Boy do I feel like poop! I was fine yesterday and then this morning I woke with a burning, sore throat and am now getting congested! Where did this come from? I have to run a swim meet on Saturday, I can't get sick. Going to take it easy today...rest...work on my Pooh puzzle...read Harry Potter, and maybe knit a bit! Although I need to be changing beds and ironing! Nah! Gonna go drink my tea and.....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Running Around!

Past couple of days I've been running around and around and around. Petsmart, Walmart, swim practice, Target, private swim practice, play date, swim practice, ortho appt., Mervynes, Bath and Body Works, Sport Chalet, Starbucks......whew! Did get me some new goggles and swim cap, Jimmy some new goggles and crocs! Hey Jen, my son even has some now! He's now looking on the Jibbitz site! I'll never wear any other shoe again! Coach Falicia is doing good after her surgery. She'll be bouncing around in no time! :) Hoping my friend Darcy did well during her surgery. Gotta do some chores, me swim and then swim practice. Tootleloo!

Swim Meet!

Jimmy dove right in today and did an awesome job! So proud of him and his hard work! He shaved off 17 seconds off his breast stroke time! Amazing job!

He was so excited when he finished even the timers were excited and cheering for him! Butterfly wasn't so great but stayed up with the pack. The shave ice helped to cheer him up from that race! Afterwards we packed up and went to McDonald's for lunch. Whoowee are we tired! Get to do it all again tomorrow!

I also got my Harry Potter book in the mail today! Yeah! Knit or read....hmmmm? My pretty boy out of the water! He's such a terriffic kid! Excellent job today! Hip, Hip, Hooray!

Do Nothing Day!

Today is a do nothing day...except relax. All weekend we'll be at a swim meet, melting from the heat! I'm even going to be gone when my Harry Potter book is being delivered! Whaaah! Might get some time to read it Sunday....sure! Just found this really cool site that has tons of socks to knit : knittychick . I was looking for Jen's Baudelaire sock pattern and found all of these too, wow wee! Wish I could knit faster or have more than an hour a day to make all these cool projects I keep finding....so little time so much I wanna knit!:) Not going anywhere today, not even swim practice, want my Jimmers to rest up for the weekend. So maybe I'll make time to work on those socks. I need to at least get one done! Well gotta for feed my laundery machine....talk to ya'll later!

Nice Day!

It's been a nice, relaxing day. Did my swimming this morning, brrr was it cold getting in! Started laundery...took some advil for my mouth and read my book a little...did not much of anything until swim practice time.

My light blue crocs came today too. I love them soo much, they're so comfy. I also got a flamingo and cream chihuahua jibbitz too. It'd be so cool to have all the colors!

Found out this evening that my friend in the Knotty Knitter group gets to have her surgery next week instead of September. Thank God, she'll be able to start feeling better sooner. She has to have 5 surgeries at one time. Lord be with her and the doctors.

Going to go bathe and work on my sock and of course watch "So You Think You Can Dance?" Hopefully my mouth won't hurt so bad tomorrow. Tomorrow, tomorrow, there's always tomorrow............Tootles!

Tuesday

Ugh, my mouth hurts soooo bad. My dentist gives the worst shots that hurt for over a week. It feels like someone has punched me in the cheek. My friend yesterday even said it looked swollen. Then I could still feel him drilling on the tooth, ouch. I just don't numb with those shots. My face numbs but not the teeth. I didn't have this problem with my other dentist but his fillings/crowns never last. Maybe I need to find another dentist. I don't like feeling them work on my teeth. Even when I had a root canal they were able to give me a shot where I didn't feel them working on me? Hmmm.

Jimmy had a great swim day. First the private with his coach, then played (in the pool) at his friends house, then swim team practice. He's my little fish...almost 5 hours of swimming! He was quite tired last night. I came home and did my laps too, so Coach Falicia will be proud of me. I even practiced a new technique that the coach showed Jimmy for the breast stroke, which worked quite well. My darlin' hubby made me grilled cheese for dinner because my mouth was so sore and then ice cream for dessert. The ice cream felt so good on my cheeks.
Got a bath, watched a little tv (knit time) and went to bed.

My friend Jen's husband got to come home from the hospital. Yeah! Now they'll be able to get some rest. Prayers and thoughts are with them.

Today (Wednesday) is my long time friend Erica's birthday...Happy Birthday Erica!

Yeah, I don't have to rush off for any appts. today. Don't have to go anywhere until swim team practice this evening. Of course there is laundery to do and strawberries to jam!:) Have a great day!

Jibbitz!

Wow, look what the twins bought me! Aren't they the cutest? They look so good on my crocs. They are the sweetest girls around. I'm so surprised they thought of me as they were out on the town shopping! Love them so much! I'm very fortunate to have them in my life! Although Coach Falicia is not going to be to happy that I haven't done my swimming today...too pooped to blow through my nose tonight honey! Plus I just ate...plus its windy...plus....hahahaha When is it not windy here?!:) See ya later alligator!

Knitpicks Arrived!

Yeah! My Knitpicks ordered arrived. Two different sock yarns, sock book and the alpaca cloud for my Harry Potter Invisibility shawl! Can't wait to start the shawl, its going to be so pretty.

Steam cleaned carpets today, whew I'm pooped! Did laundery, seems I'm always doing laundery, guess were pretty clean or always dirty...:) Had a bunch of very ripe plums, peaches, and apricots...not enough of any of them to make a single jam so combined them all together and made jam surprise. I tasted it and it didn't taste bad at all. Just hated to see all that fruit go to waste. Went to the orthodontist with my son...he has to go back next week again because he isn't brushing well enough...ugh! They even asked which side of the toothbrush was he using...humiliating. Tomorrow I go to the dentist for a filling replacement, oh joy. It'll be a busy day tomorrow with that, with private swim coaching, swim team practice....whatever else comes up. Got to go fold laundery and get ready for swim team practice. Tootles!

Harry Potter Movie!

Went and saw the Harry Potter movie today, it was sooooooo good. I love where Crookshanks grabs the listening ear, so funny. Thats all I'm saying about it though. Its so cool to see the actors/actresses and how they have grown since the first movie. Awesome its the same ones for each movie.

Been ironing for over an hour and now I'm going to go cool off in the pool. Hope your all having a great weekend and especially Melissa who's birthday is today....Happy Birthday! I did cast on a pair of socks with Panda Cotton (Tulip) last night using the Summer Dream pattern. This yarn is real stringy though and gets caught, you really have to pay attention that the whole lot of it is on the needle. I don't know if I care for it all that well. I do like the squishy softness though and how it feels. It also is using 5 dpn's! I've only ever used four! So something new again....I know, I know I'm supposed to be trying toe up but wanted to wait for my knitpicks order so I can do it like Jen's! Plus if I need help I can email her on it:)!

Sock Two, WhooHoo!

Oh yeah, oh yeah, sock two is finished! I have now completed two pairs of socks this summer! One pair on circulars and the other on double pointed needles! Now on to learning toe up! So excited I finished them!

Today is cleaning day...change beds...laundery...ironing...bathrooms...clean pool, oh my! Also swimming and knitting thrown in there sometime too!

Friday the 13th!

Throw some salt over your shoulder....don't let a black cat cross your path...don't break a mirror...don't walk under a ladder...don't step on a crack or you'll break your mothers back...Ha Ha, Ha....Happy Friday the 13th!

Wow, its so quiet at my house right now that its weird! My son is with his best buddy going to a waterpark and then to a pizza place that is sort of like Chuck E. Cheese. They've been gone since 10:30 this morning...I hope the mom is ok with two excited little boys!:) I went and returned some pants that I got for my birthday and got a different pair. Low in behold three shirts jumped onto the counter to get paid for too. I just don't know how that happened but their really pretty and match things I have! Came home started the laundery, ate lunch and took a brief siesta. So relaxing....hey perfect time for some knittin'!

My friend, Jen's husbands surgery was a success. Thank God! Still praying for his recovery and that he'll be back on his feet soon and feeling better. They were able to cut out all the cancer which is totally awesome. Why is everyone getting this horrible disease? I just don't understand it. Today is the anniversary (8 months) that Andrea (my bff) was taken from us. She will never be forgotten. There's not a day that goes by that I don't think of her and miss her. Words have left me...

Jam! Jam! Jam!

Yummy! Yummy! Yummy! Just got done making jam with my son. It was soooo much fun! I'm looking for more fruit to use to make more. We were licking the bowl it was so good, of course after we poured them into jars! Can't wait for my darlin' hubby to go to the farmers market again! Gotta get ready for swim practice! Tootleloo!

Today is a Better Day!

Today is going to be a better day than yesterday. Woke up to no ants, yeah! While I was watering my plants I noticed I have my first sunflower of the year! Pretty, huh?

I have an appointment with my endocrinologist today and hopefully all will go well there. Afterwards my son and I are going shopping for his best friends birthday gift. We've been looking but haven't found what were looking for. His birthday is tomorrow on Friday the 13th. They are going to go to Drytown Waterpark and then to Vince's Pizza for lunch. I'm sure they'll talk his mom into playtime at her house too. But by that time she'll probably be worn out! They're such good friends. His mom and I have also became real close this year. She has been an amazing friend to me, especially when I lost my best friend of 20yrs. this past November. She's been there for me to talk, cry, and give hugs to. Last night at swim team practice she brought me a birthday present. It's the cutest bag and soooo perfect for knitting stuff! Look at all the pockets! What's really cool is it came with gardening stuff, which is an extra bonus!

Later today when I get home from all my errands and running around, I'm going to make some yummy jam. My hubby got me some strawberries, apricots, plums, peaches, and nectarines at the farmers market by his work. Going to at least make strawberry jam today and maybe some apricot jam too if I have time before swim practice. TTFN!

One of Those Days!

Yesterday was a decent day but busy. Running Jimmy to his private session with his coach. Bringing his swim buddy home to play before swim team practice. Typing up and organizing the board meeting minutes. Then going to swim team practice...then coming home and doing my laps in the pool. Whew....

Ugh! It's been a crappy day so far. Woke up to find little piss ants all over my carpet of my room and into my bedroom and into my closet...aaaaaaaah! My old dog started having a seizure but thankfully I calmed him and it stopped. Went to Walmart to shop, got home and bringing in the stuff and notice my 2 ice creams were not there. Had to go back to Walmart to get them and come back home. Went to put my clothes in the dryer and the water was not doing anything in the washer, had to go check the well and pressure pump, smacked it and it started to work. Came in the house and broke my dang nail. I can't remember what else happened but I have such a headache! I'm going to take some advil and lay down in a dark, cool room with my nice soft blankie! Boy was that a big whine! This is only half my day....what will come....

Real worried about my friend, Jen's, husband who is having colon surgery today. I've been praying for his doctors and that he is doing well. My friend, Darcy, who's having a lot of medical problems and in need of a surgery, is also weighing on my mind. I'm also worried about Falicia who's white blood count is low. I've been doing a lot of talking to the man upstairs today and know He will answer and take care of it all.

Just got back from swim team practice and had to post this. Coach Falicia, her twin Alicia and their mom brought me this cake for my birthday. Aren't they the sweetest? I'm so lucky to know them and have them in my life!

My Birthday!

Fuji Ann was my present last year so this was her first birthday! Doesn't she look stylish for her party! She got a beautiful stuffed rose that says "I Love You."

I had a really great day. My dad brings my son a donut every Sunday and yesterday he brought me a huge cinnamon roll. He's so sweet! Later my darlin' hubby and son took me to Build a Bear and I made a cute monkey with pink leopard satin pjs. Very fun, I'll have to find me some of those pjs!

My knittin' group got together at Starbucks...mmm frappacino! I was working on my son's 2nd sock. Jo was working on her mile long Dr. Who scarf, Diane and Ann had their gorgeous mystery stoles there, Dolores was working on her flowers for a poncho, Ann was showing Mindy how to spin, Jaimie working on his Honda scarf and brought everybody a shawl pin he'd made (so nice), Mercedes and Hannah were working on wrist warmers but got bored and went to the mall! I also met Darcy for the first time, such a sweet lady and has my prayers sent her way. She was working on two socks on one circular needle...What a great group!

I came home and ordered some alpaca lace weight yarn for an invisibility shawl, four skeins of sock yarn and of course another sock book, hey it was 40% off :)! Can't wait for the mailman to deliver!

I'm worn out from the long weekend. Going to do laundery and relax today. I really need to start planning next years school lessons. Nah, I'd rather knit or read Back on Blossom Street! If I'm not knitting I'm reading about it! Tootles!

First DPN Sock!

I'm so excited! I just finished my first double pointed needle sock! These are for my son and can't wait for him to wake up so he can try it on! Its made with Regia bamboo and is so soft...wonder if it'd fit me :)! Also you'll notice I've finally figured out how to do the picture thing! My knitting group is getting together today at Starbucks...mmm frappacino, let you know what goes on with that later. Gonna go rest on the couch and work on the other sock!

Party!

Today we had my get together with my family for mine and my grandmas birthday. We both received some really nice gifts. I got some cool capris, shirts, bath and bodyworks lotions and body wash and money to buy some more yarn and crocs. I'll smell and look good! I love the brown mary jane crocs I got. They are so comfortable. I'm never ever wearing another pair of shoes ever again. Winter I'll get some Beach crocs and wear them with all the cool socks I'm knitting this summer. Yup, Jenny I'm addicted to crocs. I'm going to order some of the light blue mary janes too. My mom made me the dump cake that I found the recipe off Texas Purl Girls blog. It was so yummy. I think it'd be even better if the pineapple and cherry pie filling were doubled! Yum! Yum! Gonna go grill some teriyaki chicken sandwiches with pineapple on top.


My dad and husband went and picked up a lot of firewood for winter. How I look forward to that especially when were having 114 degree weather. A nice fire in the fireplace, southern pecan pie candle burning and some nice wool being knitted in my hands. Sigh....In reality air conditioner on, just got done swimming laps and ready for more dump cake! And don't forget the knitting...son's sock, almost to the toe!
Last night we watched "Man of the Year" with Robin Williams. It was really good. Loved the part where he says to enhance a boob job with dog squeeky toys. Guess you'd get more bang for your buck!

Tonight is the Daytona Nascar race...go Newman....go J. Gordon...go Jr. Whoo hoo!

Busy Bee!

Boy, oh boy have I been busy. Swim practices, shopping, chores, etc. Plus my hard drive on my laptop took a pooop! So having to share the one computer with my ds! Right now I'm working on some low cut socks for my ds made out of regia bamboo. I'm tweaking a pattern so am really hoping this is going to come out. Two days till my birthday, whoohooo!

My First Socks on Two Circulars!

Whoohoo, oh yeah! Hip, hip, hooray! My socks are finished! Yeah! These are the very first socks I have ever made. Maybe I'll frame them! ha ha Now on to the dpn ones! Had a dentist appointment yesterday for a cleaning and I have a cavity! Boo hoo! Must be the double bubble bubble gum I've been chewing, sugarless here we come! Then afterward went and got a carmel decaf frappacino, mmmmmm craving another as I'm writing this! I didn't know they even made decaf frapps! It tasted the same too. Guess where I'll stop on the way to swim practice today :) although I might try the chai tea or green tea, have never had either there? Any good? Found an awesome yesterday on a blog for a dump cake. Going to have my mom make it for my birthday. It has crushed pineapple, cherry pie filling, yellow cake mix, and pecans sprinkled on it. I must be hungry or something! Gonna go eat breakfast! Tootles!

Ratatouille!

Went and saw the movie Ratatouille. It was sooo good. Such a cute little rat! Went swimming and bbq hamburgers. Gonna go work on my sock, I'm to the part thats right before the toe! Will probably have it done soon. Tomorrow got to go to the dentist for a cleaning which is a good thing because yesterday my tooth chipped. Always happens on a weekend! TTFN
