Shake, Rattle and Roll!
The 5.4-magnitude quake — considered moderate — was felt from Los Angeles to San Diego, and as far east as Las Vegas, 230 miles away. Nearly 30 aftershocks quickly followed, the largest estimated at 3.8.
The quake was centered 29 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles near Chino Hills, a San Bernardino County city of 80,000 built mostly in the early 1990s with the latest in earthquake-resistant technology. By ROBERT JABLON

Whoowee scared the pooey out of me! Thought it was going to be a big one like the Northridge earthquake in 1994! I was giving myself a pedicure and talking on the phone to Ladybuglola...we both yelled the same thing when it hit! I was surprised we both felt it at the same time cuz she lives in Tehachapi which is an hour away from me! Freaky! My dad drove out to check on me because the phone lines were down. James was home from work sick, which is a double blessing because he works in downtown LA! A lady at his work said it felt like a roller coaster..yucky! I hate motion! Whether it be elevators, roller coasters...whatever ug!:)

Please continue to pray for my friend who's going through chemo...she has two more treatments left...give her the strength to endure this. Love & hugs!

Clarification & Apologies...
Wanted to let my friends know why I've left the KnottyKnitter group...
I was informed today that someone in the group has used my friends list to promote a product that I do not endorse. I want to make it clear that I don't endorse it, nor have I used it, nor do I want to. I don't know whom has been contacted but I apologize if you have been contacted about this product. I was not informed nor was I asked to share your names/email addresses'. I'm highly embarrassed of the manner in which the person has behaved and do not want it to reflect on to me. I'm mortified and speechless...yes, me speechless!

Thank you, Thank you! After seeing a pic of her sister who lives in Chicago and Nell's graduation from nursing school pics...I think we're related! Notice how the card matches the mini sweater pattern! Awesome! The mini sweater pattern even comes with a mini hangar...too cute. Can't wait to knit it!
Haven't been knitting because I caught Jimmy's bug! So far James hasn't caught it...he had to stay home Monday because we were both down for the count. We're doing better but still weak and have the head cold part of it...ug! Take care and stay well!

Roses are red...
Hubby brought these home to me yesterday "just because he loves me!"
He's the best husband in the world!
On a sad note....Jimmy is really sick. He started vomitting last night and having diarrhea every twenty/thirty minutes all night. He's one sick little boy. We're very, very tired today. He finally went seven hours this late morning with out spewing from either end!:) Yeah! Hopefully he will continue to improve throughout the day. Lots of fluids and rest!

Yes Dawn I went back!:) I couldn't help it...40%off everything! After yesterdays shopping spree I started thinking of all the yarn that I wanted but didn't get....well I had to have two more skeins of the Cloud 9 and then I saw all this other stuff...it just kept jumping into my arms! Its soooo irresistable! Uncontrollable! At least they're not open tomorrow!:) They are doing two more days next weekend..but no I have enough! Just thought that now I have to catalog all this onto Ravelry. Ha ha that'll take all week and I'll be ready for more next weekend! Just kidding! Bunch of my buddies showed up too...Knottyknitter40 (Darcy) and her husband Knakedknitter (Tom), Katnmouse (Jackie), Jaymie, and met someone from Rav DigitalKnitter. Very cool time...fun seeing what everyone was hording in their arms and getting! Real fun to see the grimaces of pain as we handed over our credit cards! Oh I also got a really cute charm bracelet that has a bunch of knitting charms on it...tried to take a pic of it but it kept blurring and didn't come out. Came home and had an enjoyable visit with Katnmouse...figured out a pattern she needed help on...not much knittin but lots of good gabbin! What a great day!

Lonely people have few friends and loved ones. They may have lost loved ones over the years. They may be elderly. They see people on an infrequent basis.
Spend some time today cheering up lonely people. It's easy to do.....just spend some time with them. When you visit, bring happy things to talk about. Keep the conversation upbeat, and lively. When you leave, give a big hug and let them know you enjoyed the stay. Sending cards or making a phone call is okay, only if they live too far away to visit. What a lonely person really needs, is face to face time with other people.

Plus she sent me a cupcake...not just any cupcake...its a candle! I almost bit into it anyways because it even smells real! Yarn....
This yummy Wollmeise came in the mail while I was gone. The reds in this is soooo pretty! The colorway is Rosenrot. The gummies and green wool was extras!:)
Found these goodies at my favorite yarn store, The Scarlet Skein! A sea turtle kit which was 75% off! The alpaca is from the Flying Eagle Ranch that they'd just got in. The black alpaca is from a baby named Star; the light brown alpaca is from Duente; and the dark brown is from the alpaca, Storm. I was excited to find out the names of the alpaca that went with the yarn!

This is Debbie Bliss Pure Silk, just loved the color and feel of it. Got this in San Luis Obisipo at Betty's Fabrics. It was a pretty good store. Also went to the Yarn at the Adobe...its the size of a small house bathroom so you can imagine not much yarn to choose from. The women there didn't even speak or look up at me...won't go back there again.
See how happy yarn buying is to my guys!

Happy 4th!
We're home! Our reservations were for Morro Bay State Beach...we arrived their Sunday evening and oh my goodness was it cold! It was between 50-60 degrees! Brrrr! We stayed their one night and the next day found another campground, KOA, further inland in Santa Margarita. Beautiful campground! Squirrels as big as cats! Even got some pics of red headed woodpeckers, how appropriate is that!:)
Monday was moving day and went shopping in Atascadero (my favorite yarn shop, The Scarlet Skein) and shopping in Morro Bay. Yarn photos another day! Tuesday was beach play day...61 degrees on the beach with wind...needless to say I didn't put the bathing suit on....in fact I wrapped up in towels and froze...my water boy though of course had to get in the surf, I'm surprised you can't see the goose bumps on him in the pic! We made some cool sand castles too.
Wednesday we went shopping and sightseeing in San Luis Obisipo (3 yarn stores):) and Cambria (1 yarn store).:) Thursday was packing up and coming home! Had a great time! My IBS acted up quite a bit but dealt with that. Totally exhausted from the five days! Now its laundry, laundry, laundry, and cleaning out the trailer.
Yes, I took this myself...what a great photographer I am...at least you can't see my double chin!:)
