Home...

Came home early from our trip up the Central Coast. I was having such sinus migraines that I was just miserable so decided to come home early. My Dad was also having some medical problems and felt bad for my Mom to have to keep going back and forth between our houses to take care of our critters and my Dad. My Mom had also mentioned to me that Fuji's chin area looked puffy, thought she was just thinking Fuji is pudgy.....well we get home and Fuji has some hives on her too. I gave her a good bath, soaked her in cool water to reduce the hives, it looked better. She wasn't acting her normal self, hiding under Jimmy's bed, not coming out socializing....kept checking on her and then around 9:30pm her face was more swollen with huge hives that she looked kind of cyclopsy. We rushed her to A.V. Animal ER and they immediately took her back and gave her some injections. They think she was bit by something? She's not an outside doggy so have no idea what got her. We got to bring her home and gave her Benadryl through the night and she's doing better today. The ER place even called and checked on her today and if any more hives wants to see her again. She's acting more normal today, played with her frog a bit and following me around!:) So glad we came home early! Gave me quite a scare, wish they could talk! Poor puppy! Within the next few days I'll post the few goodies I found on our trip!

Poor Fuji - and you and your dad, of course!

I keep forgetting to thank you for your sweet note and the soap. You are such a kind, good, generous person...

But back to Fuji. Sissy had a VERY nasty spider bite in her ear a while back, and while we're pretty sure it happened outside, we do sometimes have them inside too. (Love that our pest control guy offers pet-safe once dried formulas!)

Poor Fuji! Similar thing happened to Tut a couple summer's ago. We think he had either gotten stung by a bee or bit by a spider... scary!

It scares me that Jenna eats bees and wasps but so far she's been okay. How the heck do you get a dog to take benedryl? Hope that Fuji and your Dad and you are all feeling better soon! ((hugs))

Oh no, I hope Fuji is better by now. Trinket got together with a bee one time when he was a puppy, not a good sight.
